Replacement booster set at a school swimming pool
We had a call out to a busy school swimming pool for a replacement booster set!
The unit kept tripping out three to four times a day, during classes and in the evenings when swimming club was on.
Due to the system running continuously, this caused warm water to come out of the cold taps.
Once our engineers arrived on site, we quickly identified several issues with the existing set.
The major problems…
- One pump was completely seized and non operational
- The fixed speed controls failed
This caused a pump to run continuously without demand.
The solution…
- After a discussion with the site manager we concluded a complete new variable speed set would be the best solution to ensure no future issues.
- We quickly ordered a new variable speed set and returned on site to install the new equipment during the school half term the following week.
