The Challenge
Our engineers were called to an apartment block in Liverpool following a failure of the existing booster set.
During the initial inspection, a second critical issue was identified — the water tank installation was incorrect, resulting in poor circulation and stagnant water within the tank.
Left unresolved, this posed risks to water quality, system performance and long-term compliance.
Our Solution
To address both issues properly, we carried out a full system upgrade rather than a like-for-like repair.
Works included:
- Replacement of the failed booster set with a modern, efficient unit
- Installation of a new CAT 5 compliant water tank to ensure correct water movement and hygiene
- Installation of a temporary daytime bypass to maintain water supply for residents during works
- Full commissioning of the new system to confirm correct operation and performance
This approach ensured minimal disruption while delivering a long-term, compliant solution.
