The Challenge
During a routine service visit at a residential apartment block in Birmingham, our engineers identified a faulty 2” ball valve within the booster system pipework.
Ball valves play a key role in isolating and controlling water flow within a system. If they begin to fail, it can lead to leaks, restricted flow, or the inability to safely isolate sections of the system when required.
Left unresolved, this issue could have led to further system disruption or more extensive repairs.
Our Solution
After identifying the fault, our team immediately informed the client and arranged for the correct replacement parts.
A new 2” WRAS-approved ball valve was sourced, and our engineers returned to site to carry out the works safely and efficiently.
The system was isolated to allow the repair to be completed without risk, before removing the faulty valve and installing the new unit.

✔ Inlet isolated to allow safe working
✔ Faulty ball valve removed
✔ New 2” ball valve supplied and installed
✔ System reopened and fully tested

The repair was completed quickly, restoring the system back to full working order with minimal disruption to the building.
