Cost Saving Solutions at a High-Rise Student Accommodation in Birmingham
Our NT Cloke team traveled up the M6 to Birmingham to address a technical issue at a student accommodation complex. The existing booster set was malfunctioning due to a software issue, causing pressure to ramp up to 12 bar and triggering safety valves…for the students this led to the water coming out the taps at very fast
Confronted with an initial replacement quote of £49K, the client contacted us for an alternative solution and we proposed a couple of options.
The client chose to upgrade the motors and drives, and we installed a new 4-pump panel with individual isolators.
The upgraded system now operates efficiently on all four pumps, providing stable and controlled water pressure throughout the building.
