Heating Pump Upgrade – School Heating System Improved
Location: Birmingham (School)
Service: Heating Pump Upgrade
Sector: Education / School Facility
The Challenge
NT Cloke Pumps & Water were scheduled to carry out a heating pump upgrade at a school in Birmingham. With colder weather placing increased demand on heating systems, the school wanted to upgrade the circulation pump before any failures could occur during term time.
Heating failures in schools can cause major disruption, making preventative upgrades essential to ensure reliable performance throughout the winter months.
To avoid disruption to staff and students, the works needed to be completed early in the morning before the school day began.
Our Solution
Our engineers attended site early to carry out the upgrade before students arrived. After isolating the existing system, the older circulation pump was removed to allow installation of a new Lowara variable-speed circulator pump.
The new pump was selected to provide improved efficiency, reliability and performance for the school’s heating system.
Once installed, the pump was correctly configured and integrated with the existing system. The heating system was then fully recommissioned and tested to ensure it was operating correctly and delivering consistent circulation throughout the building.
The Result
The heating pump upgrade was completed successfully before the start of the school day, ensuring the building remained fully operational with no disruption to staff or students.
- Existing heating pump removed and system prepared
- New Lowara circulator pump supplied and installed
- System fully recommissioned and tested
- Heating system operating efficiently before school opening
Why It Matters
Heating reliability is essential for schools, particularly during colder months when system demand is high. Planned pump upgrades and preventative maintenance help avoid unexpected breakdowns that could disrupt learning environments.
NT Cloke Pumps & Water regularly support schools, commercial buildings and public sector facilities with pump upgrades, servicing and system improvements — ensuring critical heating and water systems remain reliable all year round.
