The Challenge
The client contacted us after experiencing ongoing issues with a pump that was affecting system performance. Previous checks had not resolved the problem, and there were concerns that the fault was more serious than initially thought.
On arrival, our engineers carried out a full site inspection and quickly identified that the pump was installed in a very tight and awkward location. To properly assess the issue and prevent further damage, the pump needed to be removed from the system — a task that required careful planning and strict safety controls.
Our Solution
Due to the restricted space and weight of the equipment, we arranged a coordinated return visit alongside a specialist lifting company. This allowed us to safely remove the pump without risk to personnel, surrounding equipment, or the wider site.
Once removed, our engineers carried out a full strip-down and inspection of the pump. This enabled us to clearly identify the root cause of the ongoing issues and carry out the required repairs correctly — rather than relying on temporary fixes.
All works were completed in line with safe working practices, ensuring the pump could be reinstated with confidence.

The underlying fault was successfully identified and resolved, restoring reliable operation to the system and preventing further unplanned downtime.
By taking the correct approach — even when access was difficult — we ensured the issue was fixed properly and safely, giving the client long-term peace of mind.
