Tank Clean, Chlorination & Booster Service – St Margaret’s Bus Station, Leicester
The brief
NT Cloke Pumps & Water were instructed to carry out a full tank clean and chlorination on Tanks 1 and 2 at St Margaret’s Bus Station, Leicester, alongside a complete booster set service.
As a busy public transport hub, maintaining safe, compliant water systems is critical to daily operations and public safety.
What we found
Routine inspection confirmed the tanks were due for cleaning and disinfection to remove sediment and biofilm build-up, alongside a planned booster service to ensure reliable pressure and system performance.
The works carried out
- Full drain down, internal clean and chlorination of both water storage tanks
- Visual inspection of internal tank components
- Complete booster set service
- System checks to confirm correct operation post-works
- Water sampling taken for compliance testing:
- 2 × Legionella samples
- 2 × TVC (Total Viable Count) samples
All samples were sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis.
The result
✔ Clean, disinfected and compliant water storage tanks
✔ Booster system fully serviced and operating correctly
✔ Reduced risk of Legionella and other harmful bacteria
✔ Minimal disruption to a high-footfall public site
By completing both the water hygiene works and booster servicing in a single visit, we reduced downtime and simplified ongoing maintenance for the client.
