Cold Water Storage Tank Cleaning, Chlorination & Ball Valve Replacement

NT Cloke Pumps & Water recently completed remedial works at a Birmingham apartment block following a routine inspection of the building’s booster set and cold water storage system.

During the inspection, our engineers identified two issues requiring immediate attention – a faulty ball valve and a cold water storage tank that required cleaning and chlorination to maintain water quality and system performance.

Following approval from the client, our team carried out the necessary remedial works to restore the system safely and efficiently, ensuring residents continued to benefit from a reliable water supply.

The Challenge

The Solution

Following client approval, our engineers supplied and installed a replacement ball valve, carefully removing the faulty component before modifying the associated pipework to provide a perfect fit.

The cold water storage tank was then fully drained and cleaned to remove any contaminants and sediment that had accumulated within the system.

Once cleaned, the tank underwent a chlorination process before being safely refilled and recommissioned in accordance with water hygiene best practice.

Following completion of the remedial works, the booster set and associated water storage system were thoroughly tested to ensure everything was operating efficiently and correctly before being returned to service.
