The Challenge
We were called to an apartment block in Birmingham city centre experiencing ongoing issues with an ageing booster set.
The existing fixed-speed system had been repaired multiple times, with temporary fixes no longer holding. This resulted in inconsistent water pressure across the building and repeated callouts.
At this stage, the system had reached the end of its serviceable life.
Our Solution
Following a full assessment, we recommended a complete upgrade to a modern variable speed booster set.
This would not only resolve the reliability issues but also improve efficiency, control, and long-term performance.
Works Carried Out
✔ Full system assessment and fault investigation
✔ Removal and safe isolation of existing booster set
✔ Installation of new variable speed booster set
✔ All mechanical and electrical works completed in-house
✔ Installation of new local electrical isolator
✔ Added service points and isolation valves to discharge pipework
✔ Pipework reconfigured, clipped, and fully lagged

The new system delivers a significant improvement in both performance and reliability across the building.
