The Challenge
Our engineers were called to an apartment block in Derby to carry out a full clean and chlorination of the cold-water storage tank.
Regular maintenance had been overlooked, resulting in visible scale, sediment and bacterial risk buildup within the tank. To maintain tenant safety and water compliance, a thorough clean and disinfection were required.
Our Solution
The NT Cloke team carried out a full clean and chlorination in line with BS 8558 & ACOP L8 standards:
- The tank was drained, manually cleaned and descaled
- Biofilm and residue removed from internal surfaces
- Disinfection and flushing completed with chlorinated water
- System fully recommissioned and certified as compliant

✅ Certification issued on completion
The Result
The apartment block’s cold-water system is now clean, safe and fully compliant, ensuring residents have access to hygienic water supply and property managers remain aligned with water hygiene regulations.
