Projects
Tank Clean & Chlorination – Empty Office Block, Islington, London
Location: Islington, London
Service: Tank Clean, Chlorination & Pump Service
Sector: Commercial / Property Management
The Challenge
Our engineers were called to an empty office block in Islington to carry out a 500-litre tank clean and chlorination alongside a full pump service.
Although the building had been vacant for several months, its water systems were still active — creating a high risk of stagnation, scale build-up, and bacterial growth such as Legionella.
Our Solution
We performed a deep clean and chlorination of the cold-water tank, removing debris and biofilm build-up before disinfecting and flushing the system. The pump system was fully serviced to ensure smooth operation and compliance for future re-occupation.
The Result
The system is now safe, clean and ready for new tenants — with full certification issued upon completion.
By maintaining even unused systems, we helped the property manager prevent contamination risks, reduce downtime, and keep the building compliant with water hygiene standards.
✅ 500-litre tank cleaned and chlorinated
✅ Full pump service completed
✅ System restored to safe, compliant standard

Why It Matters
When buildings sit empty or operate at low occupancy, stagnant water can quickly become a health hazard. Regular cleaning, testing and maintenance protect against Legionella, contamination, and costly repairs.
At NT Cloke Pumps & Water, we work with landlords, FM teams and property managers to safeguard water systems across the UK — ensuring every site, occupied or not, remains compliant and efficient.
